It is not by accident that our Art Academy is located in Florence Italy. Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance epoch. It keeps acenturies-old history in the field of fine arts. There are some Europeanmuseums of the most significance there. They are Ufizzi Gallery, Palazzo Pittiand others. The unique collections of such masters as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, Caravago,Botticelli and many others are kept in those museums. The mission of the Art Academy in Florence is to maintain the tradition of the academic painting anddrawing school. Our goal is to train painters passing to them deep knowledge inAnatomy, Composition, Chromatics, Perspective, Painting and Drawing. Ourinstructors are highly qualified teachers from Russian art academies who have avast experience in the field of arts. Our program is based on the principles ofthe Russian academic school. The Russian academic tradition was formed underthe influence of the Italian and French schools of the Renaissance. All classesat the Art Academy in Florence are held in Russian.

Art courses held by the Russian Academy of Art

Russian Academy of Art offers a wide variety of art courses in Florence, Italy. They are a 3-year academic art course, a 1-year academic art course, evening art courses and different art workshops. Students can start studying at our art courses possessing any level of experience in arts. They also can join our evening classes any time they wish or can. Our winter workshops available in January, 2011 are the following short art courses: Constructive Drawing and Artistic Anatomy course. Art workshop to be held in summer 2012 is a Portraiture course. Evening art courses being run through the whole academic year are: Portrait drawing course and Human figure sketching course. Students of the 1-year and 3-year academic art courses get fundamental knowledge and gain skills in Drawing and Painting. They also study such absolutely essential subjects to form an artist to be as Perspective, Composition, Artistic Anatomy, Chromatics, Technique and Technology of painting, Art History and so on. Upon the successful completion of the 3-year course graduates are awarded with private Italian educational institution diploma. Those successfully graduating from 1-year academic art course program gain certificates. All the art courses held by the Russian Academy of Art are taught by highly professional Russian artists in the best traditions of the Russian realism style.
